How Revelation’s Symbols Play Into My New Book

In my novel, The Revelation of Emery Audubon, Dr. Phillips is a college professor who teaches an illegal class on Revelation’s symbols. He points out that today’s young adult is more ready for Revelation and its symbols than anyone in history. That’s because Revelation is like watching a blockbuster sci-fi movie with strange creatures from faraway places, noisy action scenes, and lots of special effects. If you’re a young adult you’re used to this.

But Dr. Phillips also says today’s young adult is not ready for Revelation or the end times or the lawlessness that proceeds it (Matthew 24:12-14). That’s because too many young adults think that Jesus Christ is just another teacher, that lawlessness or the devil’s schemes could never happen to them, and that Revelation is just another story, entertaining, but not for real. Emery Audubon also thinks Revelation isn’t for real or relevant to her. Until she does.
